The "culture of distraction" and "information-fatigue syndrome" of our modern lives! The AARP article goes on to say that, "We're really facing the limit of human ability to cope with stimuli in our environment, that is, the flashing, beeping, scrambled focus, shredding of our nerves ... and that it squanders your productivity."

MY TRANSLATION: What we have here today is a, "overstretched digital information world full of multitasking, overbooked and on-the-run humans, and untamed media appetites for Internet intelligence and factoids." Are we on a morphosis virtual stage of new about-to-snap screaming and yelling Android-Humanoid 2051 developments?

Plus, researchers at the University of California also found that, "on average, Americans hear, see, or read 34 gigabytes worth of information a day - about 100,000 words from TV, the Internet, books, radio, newspapers, and other sources!" That figure has grown more than 5 percent annually since 1980. [ There goes my tejano music alliance. Have a nice day tejanos! ]

2012 ADDENDUM: Most group promotions at tejanomike dot com are free, however additional promotional media including but not limited to Ads, flyers, event notices, radio spots, new banners and business cards, and special appearances are prepaid by clients and mandate certain terms, agreements, and/or priorities. The Music Source was created for promoters, musicians, tejano fans, and the general public that need more information on groups for their own entertainment events, and also:

1)  To establish a network of music contacts between Arizona and other states.

2)  For tejano groups to play a role in assisting in the advancement of La Onda Tejana.

3)  For all of us to work together professionally - if possible - and use all music opportunities for the advancement of tejano groups and musicians.

4)  Web connectivity by singers, conjuntos, groups, and bands utilizing all the Internet media available

5)  The 'Donate' button serves two purposes:

ONE: It is here for those individuals who want to support TEJANOmike, and/or want to contribute to my yearly Website expenses.

TWO: At times my own immediate family uses it periodically to buy items or transfer funds through PayPal.
